What to report
One fixture or several?
- One sink, tub, or shower drains slowly
- Several fixtures gurgle or back up
- A toilet bubbles when another fixture drains
- Sewer odor appears near a drain or cleanout
- The same clog returns after temporary relief
Pause water use during a backup.
More water can increase what returns through a low fixture. Keep people and pets away from contaminated water, and do not mix chemical drain products.
Repeat clogs need context.
Household buildup, roots, older line materials, poor slope, and damage can create overlapping symptoms. The fixture map and recurrence pattern matter.
